RE: Radio over Ethernet draft PAR for the IEEE 1904 pre-review & discussion

Hesham, Marek,

Great questions.

I can only answer Hesham's question on why this is a right project for 1904. Everything south from the central office (i.e., the connection from the central office toward the end device or end customer) is in scope for the 1904 WG.

As for what is expected to be encapsulated or whether there is any intention to change Ethernet frame headers (I hope not), I will forward these questions to the authors. I saw that some of them have signed-up to the reflector already, but not all. So, I will forward e-mails for now. Also, all should feel free to contact the authors directly, but please, copy you exchange to the reflector for all to see.

Thank you,
Glen
