[IEEE1904.1] Meeting participation and membership status

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to give you an update on the upcoming meeting participation.
As of yesterday, we have 43 individuals from 27 companies registered for the meeting.

I also want to remind everyone that P1904.1 is a corporate-based standards project.
This means that to participate in P1904.1 working group, every company (entity) should
establish IEEE SA Corporate membership. There are two categories of membership:
Basic and Advanced. You may review the corporate membership rules here:
http://standards.ieee.org/sa-mem/corp_overview.html.

Basic corporate members will only be able to participate in P1904.1 WG as observers.
They will not be able to access member-only areas on the web, make any technical
contributions, or vote on motions.

Advanced corporate membership is required to make technical contribution and vote.
Basic members can upgrade to advanced membership by contacting Chris Vigil at
c.vigil@xxxxxxxx, tel: 505-293-0309.

Advanced members that attend the first WG meeting will gain voting rights immediately.
If the first meeting is not attended, the company will have to attend two consecutive
meetings before it can vote. Therefore, if the first meeting is missed, the earliest
possibility to vote will be our fourth meeting (probably sometime in July-August).

At the meeting, all attending advanced members will be asked to designate one person
as Designated Representative (DR) and one or more persons as Designated
Representative Alternates (DRAs). Only DR may vote for the company. If DR is unable
to vote, one of DRAs may vote. Please, be prepared to identify DRs and DRAs for your
company at the beginning of the meeting.

Below is the membership status for the attending companies, according to IEE SA database.
If you believe there is an error, please contact me immediately.
